MTCC Auctioning Decommissioned Buses Starts at MVR 25,000

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company officially announced a public auction to offload nine decommissioned and damaged buses from its operational fleet, including models manufactured by Volvo, MAN, and Ashok Leyland. However, official auction terms establish the base starting price for each vehicle at MVR 25,000, with mandatory bidding increments set at a minimum of MVR 10,000 per bid.

Interested buyers and bidders were instructed to submit proposals directly to the company's Trading Division at the Henveiru Sawmill venue in Malé. Under the rules outlined by MTCC, if a top bid remains unchallenged for two consecutive working days, the auction closes and the vehicle is awarded to the highest bidder
