Maldives National Futsal Team Bounces Back with Emphatic Seven Zero Victory Over Hong Kong in China Tournament

The Maldives national futsal team delivered a masterclass performance at the CFA International Futsal Tournament in Yinchuan, China, crushing Hong Kong seven zero to register their first victory of the competition.

The decisive triumph served as a powerful statement of resilience following the national side's opening fixture disappointment, where they suffered a five one defeat against South Korea. Taking the pitch at the Yinchuan Gymnasium with renewed tactical intensity, the Maldivian squad established control over ball possession from the opening whistle and relentlessly pressured the Hong Kong defensive lines. Precise passing structures and clinical execution allowed the South Asian Champions Futsal side to build a comfortable multi goal advantage before halftime.

The dominant offensive display continued unabated throughout the second period, culminating in a dominant defensive shutout. The fourth and final goal of the evening arrived in the closing minutes of regulation play when continuous pressure forced a defensive mistake that resulted in an own goal by a Hong Kong defender.

The resounding victory revitalizes the national campaign as the squad prepares for their high stakes final group fixture against host nation China at the Yinchuan Gymnasium. Sports officials and fans praised the team for executing an exceptional tactical recovery, noting that the victory further demonstrates the growing potential and international competitiveness of Maldivian futsal on the continental stage.
