Ministry of Agriculture and Ocean Resources Opens Registration for Next Year's Ramadan Farmers' Market

The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources is inviting island councils across the Maldives to register for spots at next year’s Ramadan Farmers' Market in Malé. Operating under strict local-only guidelines, the market allows island farmers to sell raw fruits and vegetables, including Maldives Good Agricultural Practices (MGAP-certified standard) by producing directly to consumers in the capital to meet high seasonal demand. The final market venue will be determined based on registration interest.
